Winter is here and it’s a month early! It’s snowing in Montana, Wyoming, and Utah and according to the LA Times Mammoth Lake in the Sierras got about 3 inches of snow yesterday and the plows had to be called out to clear the road. This comes on top of snow from last winter in the Sierras that didn’t melt causing the ski resorts to remain open all summer. Forecasters say warmer weather is expected this weekend with highs in the 50s and lows in the 20s (if you want to call that warmer weather).
North Lake Tahoe, Sept 22, 2017, Placer Co Sheriff
The snow has come about a month early just as the aspens are turning colors and residents have not forgotten last winter when snow also came early and pounded them with 40 FEET of the white stuff! Yesterdays early snowfall also reached north Lake Tahoe leaving a couple of inches.
A few days ago I was reading an editorial by a noted meteorologist who noted that when we look back at the planet’s ancient weather we find that the warming periods have lasted about 12,000 years. The last ice age ended about 12,000 years ago so if this time frame is correct we can expect a return of the ice at any time now. Some researchers are already warning that we are on the verge of entering a possible “mini ice age” but they don’t know for certain. Is it nothing at all but hype? Will it be a mini ice age? Or will it be a full blown major ice age that will end human civilization as we know it? And btw they are saying tiis mini ice age is due in 2019.
The early snowfall in the Sierras is not unusual nor unheard of as it has happened before but what is significant is that much of last winters snow didn’t melt so now there is snow on top of snow and that is how glaciers form. Tioga Pass on the eastern entryway to Yosemite National Park was closed due to snow yesterday temporarily along with a few other roads in the area. NBC reported the snow as a “dusting” but Mammoth residence say it was MORE than just a dusting and that’s to be expected as NBC has a political agenda to push “global warming.” Continue Reading
The climate IS changing but it’s not changing in the way that the climate-change crowd has told us it is.
The ice is growing at both poles and research shows that a natural cooling cycle which occurs every 200-206 years began in 2008 and will send temps plummeting ever further by 2019. That’s only 2 years away!!
Scientists are now expecting a HUGE REDUCTION IN SOLAR ACTIVITY for the coming 33 years between 2020 and 2053 that will cause temps to crash!
Both cycles suggest that planet Earth is NOW entering a global cooling cycle that may well have devastating effects on global economies, HUMAN LIFE, and society as we know it.
Solar winds in general are decreasing in temperature and density as what appears to be a long-term trend. This has never been seen before and NASA is unsure what to make of it!
In the “Ice Age Now” link below there is a video that you can watch about these changes happening now and soon to happen. The weather is about to get a whole lot weirder apparently!!
BTW you can also monitor sun spot activity and other such activity at the Space Weather link below.

For the first time in my 20 plus years of living in the area I live in they are predicting 3-6 inches of snow on the surrounding mountains tonight. That blows me away! I do not ever remember seeing snow on our mountains in May! Another weird thing is that just last week we were hitting record highs and everyone was sure summer was here. But that has now all changed “mysteriously.” Now we must go back to winter mode, break out the jackets, and prepare by tonight for winter weather!
Colorado, New York, Canada, etc are still getting snow as well. The weather is now beyond wild IMO. The Tahoe glacier may be reforming and some reputable scientists are saying the ice is increasing at both poles. The global warming crowd is strangely silent and the illustrious liar known as Al Gore is nowhere to be seen or heard. Continue Reading
It’s been snowing in the Middle East in such places as the United Arab Emirates and also in the Sahara (for the first time in about 37 years) in case you haven’t been paying attention to the news lately. That’s pretty bizarre! Now comes a new study from the University of California in Santa Barbara saying the oceans are absorbing more CO2 and that this has been going on for the past decade. What that means is that LESS of this GREENHOUSE GAS is going into the atmosphere and thus slowing global warming meaning global cooling may be happening! Rising levels of CO2 in the oceans is thought to be caused in part by a slowing of the ocean’s overturning circulation. This, frankly, could spell BAD NEWS for us!
Some scientists have said that global warming due to CO2 in the atmosphere may be a blessing as it may be slowing down ice age conditions on planet Earth. Of course these scientists are mocked and marginalized by the man-caused global warming gang who continue to push their agenda that man is the major cause of such warming. Of course then we have NASA and NOAA being caught redhanded a few days ago fudging temp data from Central Africa claiming it is the hottest in that area it’s ever been! Yet people in Central Africa say it is NORMAL and come to find out neither NASA or NOAA have anything beyond a few thermometers in the region to begin with! LIARS!! CHARLATANS!!
Now returning to my subject at hand………….the ocean’s circulation is slowing down and the effect is keeping more CO2 in the ocean which means less CO2 is going into the atmosphere and thus means warming has slowed for the past 10 years or more and that means cooling.
Now of course it is thought that ice ages develop due to changes in the earth’s rotation which is not stable like we think. These wobbles are known as the Milankovitch Cycles. The earth’s rotation wobbles like a gyroscope and this alters the amount of solar radiation that hits the earth. Further, the earth’s orbit around the Sun is NOT a perfect circle like some think but is instead elliptical and varies over time. Further, keeping in mind that we are ALREADY IN AN ICE AGE known as the Quaternary Period at present for the past 10-12 thousand years we’ve been in a warming period and common sense along with geologic history tells us that SOMEDAY the ice WILL return. Is that now? Continue Reading
It’s snowing in the Cascades and Sierra Nevada mountains which is not unusual but take a look at these snow totals thus far with more on the way:
203 inches Mammoth Mtn, CA
225 inches Squaw Valley, CA
227 inches Alpine Meadows, CA
325 inches Mt Rose, NV
208 inches Stevens Pass, WA
243 inches Mt Hood Meadows, OR
Snowfall has been “prolific” as termed by weather.com (see link below). The great snow amounts are the result of several atmospheric rivers. Snowfall will continue as more moisture enters the area raising these snow amounts.
Back in 2010-2011 Squaw Valley got just over 800 inches of snow and Mammoth Mountain got got 668.5 inches,. In the US the greatest amount of snowfall was at Mt Baker in the Washington Cascades during 1998-1999. Mt Baker got a total of 1140 inches (95 feet)!
Authorities are warning people about possible avalanches. Additional problems are on the way just as soon as this snow begins to melt as flooding is expected and in some areas that is already happening.
